Manufacture

The Star One D2 was manufactured by Maxar and launched by the Ariane 5 rocket from French Guiana.

Characteristics

Based on the 1300E platform, it has power of 19.3 kW, total mass of 6,200 kg and a useful life of 18 years. It has the Star Tracker pointing system and has hybrid propulsion.

Coverage

In the orbital position of 70.0°W, the satellite reaches Brazil and all of Latin America. It has 4 transmission bands: Ka Band, Ku Band, C Band and X Band, which guarantees greater coverage flexibility.

Transmission

It is equipped with 28 C- Band transponders (signal receivers and transmitters), 24 Ku- Band transponders and a Ka-Band payload for commercial use, in addition to an X-Band payload for military use.
