The Star One C3 is our main satellite for distribution of TV to retransmitters throughout Brazil, it received investments of US$ 260 million for its construction and is located in the 75.0°W orbital position.
It has great capacity in Ku Band to meet data applications.

Manufacture
Built by Orbital Sciences Corporation, the C3 was launched in November 2012 by the French company Arianespace.

It weighs about 3 tons and has 28 transponders (signal receivers and transmitters).

Coverage
All Brazilian territory, South America, Colombia, Peru, Bolivia, Ecuador and Florida (USA). Its capacity also includes the Pre-Salt region.

It operates in C Band and Ku Band, which allows the transmission of videos, Internet and telephone to remote locations.
