How to do it
Are you on shore and want to make a call to a vessel?
Ring the Operations Center no. 0800 701 2141.
Inform the name and prefix of the vessel and its probable location.
Inform the name of the person you want to talk to.
As these calls are not completed at once, your cal will be completed as soon as contact with the vessel is established.
Are you on a vessel and want to make a call to a person on shore?
Contact the Operations Center of the Mobile Maritime Service through one of the channels of the HF and/or VHF frequency bands of the coast stations.
Inform the phone number of the person you want to call on shore. The calls will be completed at once.
How to make a collect call?
With this Service, customers on board a ship can order collect calls to a phone number on shore provided that the user on shore accepts to be responsible for the call.

Calls established through the Operations Center are charged for each full minute, and the minimum billable time is 3 minutes. Domestic calls are billed in reais, and international calls are billed in Gold Franc.
An additional amount equivalent to the international extension charge is applied to calls made to foreign countries.
