What is Ligue DDI 21?
It is Embratel Long Distance International Service Alternative Plan.

Ligue DDI 21 divides the world in just 4 groups of countries.

Each group of countries has Special, Competitive Flat Rates, effective 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Further to the special rates of the Plan, you may choose up to 6 countries to which you make IDD calls more often to earn additional discounts. Moreover, Ligue DDI 21 offers Progressive Discounts for Volume of International Calls made through the Plan. These special Discounts are valid for calls to over 200 countries.



What are the 4 groups of countries of Ligue DDI 21?
Group Countries
Group I United States of America (including Alaska, Hawaii, Guam and Marianas Islands) and Canada.
Group II Countries from the Mercosur, Bolivia, Mexico, Venezuela, Colombia, Western Europe (Germany, Spain, France, Netherlands, Italy, Portugal, United Kingdom, Switzerland), Japan, China, Australia and New Zealand.
Group III South Africa, South Korea, Hong Kong, Singapore, Remaining Countries from Europe, Remaining Countries from the Americas and the Middle East.
Group IV Remaining Countries from  Africa, Asia (excluding Japan), Oceania (excluding Australia) and the Pacific Islands.




Do I have to choose 6 countries to earn the Discount?
No. You can select from 1 to 6 countries, however customer will have to choose at least one country.



Are all countries eligible for the Super Special Rates?
Yes, all countries of Group I, II, III and IV are eligible for the special rates of the Plan.



What is Ligue DDI 21 Plan registration procedure?
Access the application form available in this website.

Since it is an Alternative Plan, your authorization and agreement is required for registration.

Upon joining Ligue DDI 21, all international direct calls (IDD) using Embratel code 21 from the phone bills enrolled in the plan are charged in accordance with Ligue DDI 21 rates.



Is there any subscription fee or monthly charge?
There is no subscription fee or monthly charge for the bills enrolled in the plan.



Is there any minimum monthly spending?
No, there is no minimum monthly spending in the Plan.



Is there a minimum subscription time in the plan?
No. Customers may leave the Plan at any time with no cost.



How many Phone Bills can be enrolled in the Plan?
There is no limit for enrolling phone bills in the Plan. You can enroll all the bills you need in the Plan.



Is it possible to enroll Cellular Phone Bills?
It is not possible to enroll Cellular Phone Bills in the Plan, since Embratel does not charge for cellular phone calls.



What are the advantages of Ligue DDI 21?

How does it work the Progressive Discount for Volume of costs of Ligue DDI 21?
In addition to the discounts on rates for the selected countries, Ligue DDI 21 offers progressive discounts as well, that can come to 12% depending on the volume of calls made through the Plan.

The Plan gives discounts on the total value of calls billed to Ligue DDI 21 including wireline-wireline calls, wireline-cellular calls and collect calls made to wireline terminals.

If I enroll more than one telephone bill in Ligue DDI 21, how many countries can I choose? Is country selection on a per-telephone bill basis?
You may select from 1 to 6 countries, and this choice is valid for all your phone bills enrolled in Ligue DDI 21 Plan. Example:
You have 10 phone bills and decides to enroll 7 Ligue DDI 21bills:

In this case, you may choose up to 6 countries to be valid for the 7 bills you decided to enroll in the Plan.

The country selection is not valid on a per-phone bill basis, but on a Customer basis.



Is it possible to alter at any time the phone bills enrolled in the Plan?
Yes. You can alter the phone bills enrolled in the Plan, and include other bills not enrolled yet. These changes and/or inclusions will be considered for Customer billing purposes within 5 days from the date of Customer order placed to Embratel Call Center.



Can I change the selected countries at any time?
Yes. You can change the selected country(ies) and include new countries (if less than 6 countries had been chosen). These changes and/or inclusions will be considered for Customer billing purposes within 5 days from the date of Customer order placed to Embratel Call Center.



When does the plan start to charge for the calls?
After enrollment in the Plan, all the international calls made through Embratel 21 code included in your phone bills enrolled in the Plan will be charged in accordance with the rates of Ligue DDI 21.

The rates/discounts of the Plan will be effective in 5 days from the date of customer registration in the Plan.



How is Ligue DDI 21 Plan identified in the bill?
After enrollment in the Plan, your Ligue DDI 21 calls are detailed in Embratel bill by identifying the International Calls made and charged in accordance with the Rates/Discounts of the Plan.



How are the international calls made before and after enrollment in Ligue DDI 21 Plan charged in the same month?
International calls made before enrollment in Ligue DDI 21 Plan are charged in accordance with the rates of the Basic Plan. After registration in the Plan all international calls are charged in accordance with the Rates/Discounts of Ligue DDI 21 Alternative Plan.



What are the time and billing units?
The same limits of time and billing of the Basic Plan.
The minimum billing time is 1 (one) minute for automatic calls; henceforth they are billed every 6 (six) seconds. The minimum billable time for IDD calls is 5 seconds, i.e. 5-second or longer calls are billed.



What are the taxes and charges?
The same taxes and charges of the Basic Plan:

State ICMS;

COFINS 3,0%;

PIS/PASEP 0,65%.



What is the relation between Embratel Ligue DDI 21 Alternative Plan and the Basic Plan?
After registration in Ligue DDI 21 Plan, your international calls made through your phone bills enrolled in the plan will be charged in accordance with Ligue DDI 21 rates.



Does Ligue DDI 21 Plan apply to Domestic Calls as well?
No, because this is an Alternative Plan designed for International Calls. There are DDD Alternative Plans available through this website or through phone no. do 103 21.

How are international collect calls handled in the phone bills registered in Ligue DDI Plan?
Operator-assisted and BrasilDireto calls are not included in this plan. These calls are charged as usual in accordance with the rates applicable to each service.



What is the procedure to cancel my registration in Ligue DDI 21 plan?
You must ring 103 21 and order the cancellation of the plan.



How are my calls billed after this cancellation?
Your international calls are transferred to the IDD Basic Plan or to any other Alternative of your choice, with no cost.
