June 20 is the deadline for journalists from all over Brazil to send their works and be nominated for the 10th Embratel Press Award - contemplating stories published in newspapers, magazines, radio, TV, the Internet, to be distributed to 12 categories, in addition to the Barbosa Lima Sobrinho Grand Prix.
The Embratel Press Award organizing committee will accept applications after June 20 only for works whose postmark printed by the Post Office on the mailing envelopes does not exceed the deadline for journalists to apply (June 20/2008)
The Embratel Press Award is supported by the Ministry of Culture and by the Cultural Promotion Act of the State of Rio de Janeiro Government, as well as by the Rio de Janeiro Professional Journalists Union and by the Rio de Janeiro Photographic and Cinematographic Reporters Association (Arfoc).
Applications are available for articles published from August 2007 to May 2008. Applications for works published before August 2007 and reproduced in a second edition between August 2007 and May 2008 will not be accepted.
The authors of the works themselves will have to complete the Application Form available at the Embratel, the Rio de Janeiro Professional Journalists Union and the Arfoc websites, and send it to the Embratel Press Award secretariat
