Every day thousands of listeners of the Ilha AM/FM network, at various points in Sergipe, are given a new phone number for contact. This number has 21 as a highlight. "We announce the new number on the air and we are extremely pleased with the local Embratel service, giving us not only quality but a series of advantages", says Benildon Santana Luz, technical director of the network.
He explains that the choice of Embratel for local telephony combined with the company's philosophy, the former Sergipe Radio Broadcasting System and today's Ilha Network, which includes the frontline Ilha FM in the state capital Aracaju, plus its own stations in Estância, Propriá and Tobias Barreto, upstate, and another five affiliates elsewhere. |

"Our working rule since December 2000, when we took over the network, is to invest in technology, to give our listeners a quality program and also extend our operations", he explains. "VipLine brought advantages of quality calls at a worthwhile price; and much easier, more simplified contact with customers, and excellent quality. And even other administrative benefits, such as call identification by extension."
Start of a partnership
Luz explains that hiring VipLine is only the start of a partnership with Embratel, which should be consolidated soon: "We are now in advanced negotiations to hire RTV Digital Plus and Business Link Fácil, services that will expedite our work and programming and bring us even closer to the public, as in the case of internet, by which we will be able to have a portal directly in contact with our listeners."
The director proceeds: "In the case of hiring RTV Digital Plus, we are already interested in using services via satellite to facilitate our work, mainly in the journalist segment and between our affiliates. Embratel technology seems to us the most suitable and apt to give us the quality and efficiency in our broadcasts. One thing is sure: our partnership with Embratel has only just begun."
