 Firewall Service/High Availability Managed Firewall
The Business Security Managed Firewall service employs a firewall management system based upon security policies using Check Point and Sonicwall technologies and is available in several different configurations, from single site reinforcement projects to more complex projects for multiple sites.
VPN Management Service
Business Security's VPN Management Service offers a complete end-to-end solution for creating a VPN environment in your organization.
Encryption schemes are implemented in the firewalls using the customer's major networks. Besides these on-site encryption schemes, your organization may use customer software using Check Point or Sonicwall to protect remote customer VPN's. These softwares enable mobile and remote users to connect to the corporate network using dial-up connections. This feature effectively takes the VPN to desktops and portable PC's.
User Authentication Service
Embratel's Strong Authentication Service employs a user authentication technology, RSA's ACE/Server, SecurID, and SoftID, to provide a level of security higher than reusable passwords. The Strong Authentication Service supports two-factor authentication and is one of the most secure manners for organizations to validate local and remote users before authorizing them to access sensitive networks and information.
Web-Site Blocking
Using as a basis the URL filtering technology, Embratel's Web-Site Blocking Service (employing Websense's TM URL filtering software) reinforces all organizations' Policy for Acceptable Internet Ue, maximizing employee productivity and preserving the network's bandwidth, as well as aiding in guiding the employees to websites related to their work.
Due to its feature of access control to inappropriate or unsuitable websites, this service helps reduce the corporation's risks of legal exposure. The software enables the organization to monitor Internet accesses, informs which websites are visited by the employees, and limits, or denies, access to sites considered undesirable by corporate management.
Antivirus Service
Embratel's Managed Antivirus Service uses Trend MicroTM antivirus software or Mac Fee, in the case of SonicWall Firewall, to protect users and networks against Internet viruses and hackers by scanning and cleaning attached files, file transfers, and Web traffic (including applets, malicious Java, Java script, and ActiveX controls).
The antivirus service provides an end-to-end solution for virus detecting and cleaning. All incoming files are routed to the Antivirus server before they have a chance to enter the private network. The infected files are clean and sent to the addressee; either they are isolated or discarded. The use of the Antivirus server supplies a stronger front for defending all the network's users.
Invasion Detection
ISS's RealSecure reconnaissance device monitors your network traffic 24 hours a day, analyzing all packages in order to identify attack patterns and unauthorized activities, all based upon defined rules. When a suspicious activity is identified, Embratel's security engineers are automatically alerted to act promptly against the invasion.
Embratel's SNOC works jointly with the Internet Backbone management teams to define security responses and procedures for all types of security-related events.
Network and Systems Scanning Service
Embratel's Network and Systems Scanning Service offers a powerful platform for assessing security, enabling customers to locate and protect vulnerabilities before they are exploited. It is an electronic, automated service delivered through the Internet which regularly inspects the subscribers' device perimeter (including Web hosts, routers, firewalls, etc.) for security vulnerabilities.
