 President of Embratel is elected for Business Leaders Forum
The president of Embratel Carlos Henrique Moreira was one of the elected executives at the 30-year celebration of the Business Leaders Forum, representing Rio de Janeiro, during a ceremony held at Credicard Hall in São Paulo.
Created in 1977 by Balanço Anual magazine and edited by Gazeta Mercantil newspaper, the Business Leaders Forum was designed to secure the collaboration of the major Brazilian executives around the proposal to develop political policies to support the development in Brazil.
The names of the new leaders, selected via a direct election that has been held for 30 years, were announced during the plenary meeting of the institution, when engineer Ozires Silva was appointed as chairman of the Business Leaders Forum as well.
Carlos Henrique Moreira led the group of Rio de Janeiro elected representatives, which included four other executives: Armínio Fraga (Gávea Investimentos), João Elisio Ferraz de Campos (Fenaseg), Patrick Larragoiti Lucas (Sul América Seguros Saúde) and Roger Agnelli (Companhia Vale do Rio Doce).

Embratel was the official provider of telecommunications facilities during the Brazilian F1 Grand Prix at Interlagos racetrack in São Paulo, on October 19, 20 and 21.
The last and decisive round of the world's major car race event was provided with digital audio and video signals, private circuits for data, video and voice transmission to Brazil and the world, plus Internet access links, Wi-Fi and wireline calling points for local and long distance calls.
The solutions were available to Formula 1 teams, to the media - journalists, photographers, radio and TV stations - and to the F1 domestic and international organization teams as well.
In addition to the technology show performed on the racetrack, Embratel' s guests were introduced to cutting-edge telecom solutions at the Premium Paddock Club, the most exclusive area in the Interlagos racetrack. There, all Embratel customers and partners could access some of its major technology features.
